Dragonball Xenoverse 2 is officially here and you now have the opportunity to access the legendary Super Saiyan 3 form in this game. But you are probably wondering how you can get it. We have a couple of ways to access it as soon as you possibly can!
This first method requires you to have a copy of Dragonball Xenoverse 1. Now we covered this before in a previous article but in Dragonball Xenoverse 2 the various Super Saiyan forms are not different unlockable ultimate skills but all levels of one base skill instead. Your Super Saiyan form changes based on the amount of ki you have access to. For example at Super Saiyan level one it only requires your base 3 ki bars. Super Saiyan level 2 requires 4 bars. Super Saiyan 3 requires 5 bars. Now at the beginning of the game you only have 3 bars but each level you can put skill points into various traits to increase the power of your Time Patroller. That being said, this not the only way to increase the amount of ki you have. You will passively gain more ki as you level up each time but if you have the right equipment on your character you can increase it dramatically faster. If you have access to the battle suit with Whis’ emblem on it from the free DLC from the first game then you can access Super Saiyan 3 faster than any other method. This armor will instantly boost your character’s ki to at least 5 bars which allows you to transform into Super Saiyan 3 as soon as you equip the Super Saiyan skill. How do you get armor from the first game? Well, after a few initial quests you are told about the hero who saved time previously which turns out to be your Time Patroller from the first game! When this scene happens the game tells you that in order to progress you must inherit the skills and armor your character from the first game had equipped. The game gives you every opportunity to go back and change out the skills and equipment to whatever you would like for your current Time Patroller to inherit. Now, if you choose to inherit this armor and equip it, you will instantly have enough ki to transform into Super Saiyan 3! Voila!
Now you won’t have access to this armor if you do not own a copy of Dragonball Xenoverse 1 but you can quickly gain access to this form by making sure you invest points into your ki levels and buy or equip armor that boosts your ki levels! This is the fastest way to unlock the form without having the transferred armor from the original game.
Also, a quick pro tip: When you make your character don’t choose any fighting style except far away blasting. This will give you access to the skill which allows you to charge your ki gauge without actually having to fight anyone, letting you go Super Saiyan before you even begin the fight and also giving you a distinct advantage over your opponent. You can not start the game with this skill using either of the other two fighting styles.
So there you have it! Enjoy your long Super Saiyan hair and lack of eyebrows!
