Ryan Reynold’s Teases Deadpool 3 In The Best Way Possible

It’s official: Reynolds persistent nagging on Hugh Jackman has paid off, as Hugh’s agreed to come back to play his version of Wolverine in Deadpool 3

Due to copyright, the amazing Whitney Houston’s version of I Will Always Love You is muted, but if you watch the original on Reynolds page, you can get the full effect…also pay attention to the captions of the song noting “hugh” instead of “you”

A Few Things That Caught My Eye

  • Using the gray suit from Deadpool 2 was a nice touch (when he’s literally dying in front of Russell and the rest of the crew)
  • Reynolds always finds a clever way to sneak Aviation gin into everything
  • I don’t know why the toilet seat scene made me die laughing but it really did

This has been a long time coming. If you’ve kept up with any of Reynolds and Jackman’s banter throughout the years, it’s been a bit for quite a while. I mean, Deadpool 2 literally starts off with both Reynolds and Deadpool lamenting the fact that Logan died at the end of his film.

But the question on everyone’s mind, especially given how well Logan closed out Wolverine’s saga was would Hugh ever come back to portray him? Jackman for his part was playfully coy for years regarding the situation which made the Twitter banters amazing, but ultimately never actually giving us a clear indication.

While this is a great sign for the Deadpool sequel, it doesn’t mean Jackman is back for the upcoming MCU X-Men entries. Jackman has been pretty definite about his involvement with X-Men being effectively dead after Logan and he’s moved on to other projects (like his current stint on Broadway with The Music Man)

Regardless, it’s great having Jackman back in the role he made famous and knowing how much fun Reynolds and him can have on screen is going to send MCU fans over the moon. Now…if we can just maintain that R rating, we should be good to go.
