How to Celebrate Batman Day

Tomorrow is Batman Day and we’ve collected all the best places to enjoy the day with your favorite caped crusader

HBO Max

We’re not being paid to put this first…however, if you have HBO Max, the special page they’ve set up is quite nice. They have all the live-action films available, all the animated series in one place, along with the animated movies and specials.

But just having the content is one thing: they’ve curated some fantastic playlists to guide your viewings: so if you want the Nolan experience (the 3 movies and Gotham Knight animated short story collection), Zack Snyder films, or greatest hits from his rogue gallery (pulled from his various animated series), you can hit play and enjoy that back-to-back.

For the kids, you can obviously enjoy a lot of the animated series, but they have several short films or younger demographic Batman series, based on the Lego Batman movie.

Additionally, the new podcast series, Batman Audio Adventures, featuring Jeffrey Wright and Rosario Dawson debuts tomorrow on HBO Max. From what we know, it will play with a title card on your screen, but there’s no visual component as far as we’re able to tell.

DC Universe Online

Login to the game from September 16th to 30th and you can receive the following:

All players can claim:

  • Batman Doll Accessory
  • Batwing Base Pet
  • Sixth Dimension Batman Emblem
  • Batman: The World – Poster Pack (8 posters, small and large)

Members can additionally claim:

  • Flying Jester Blimp Base Pet
  • Enhanced Sixth Dimension Batman Emblem

Additionally, there are some new Wayne Manor options inside the game along with Episode 41: House of Legends, which features another Batman-focused mission.

For The Kids

Wanna get your kids involved? DC Comics has provided this neat activity kit for the younger fans to engage.

Secret Labs

You can check out their Batman-themed chairs another day. The main highlight today is their Bat-themed computer desk for those that want to show off in their computer or streaming setups. If you’re looking for a cheaper option, they also have some premium desk mats that complete the theme that you can purchase separately from the desks or chairs.

Local Shops

Check out what your local shop is doing. My favorite comic shop here in St. Louis is opening up a new shop and their grand opening tomorrow is coinciding with Batman Day so it’s gonna be a big one. Your local store may not be doing that much, but we know a few things that lots of major shops should have available, from the DC Comics website:

BATMAN: THE WORLD, the 184-page hardcover anthology was released in 14 international markets on Tuesday, September 14, and features Batman stories by top creative teams across the globe. Headlining the anthology is a story from the award-winning duo of writer Brian Azzarello and artist Lee Bermejo (Batman: Damned, The Joker) in which Batman reflects on his time in Gotham, protecting his city and its inhabitants from all manner of threats.

A free BATMAN: THE WORLD “sampler,” featuring the complete lead story, plus previews of some of the stories from the international talent teams contributing to this landmark collectible hardcover.
