Laveau pressures Hank to finally kill the witches once and for all.

Synopsis
In 1991, Hank’s father takes him hunting in the woods, but their prey is witches, not wildlife.
In the present, Myrtle makes sure Cordelia knows she wasn’t the one to blind her like she was accused of. Cordelia believes her without needing to use her visions. Myrtle has the other two council members over for dinner, and in revenge for them condemning her to death, she poisons them with a paralytic and plucks out an eye from each to transplant to Cordelia before chopping them up and disposing of their bodies. Cordelia is able to see again but no longer has her second sight power as a result.
Fiona brings LaLaurie’s head back to Laveau and tries to strike up a truce, since she thinks the witch hunters will be out for both of them. Laveau refuses and tells Queenie to burn LaLaurie’s head. LaLaurie is grateful to finally have an end to her life, but Queenie secretly puts her in her room and forces her to watch several movies/documentaries of black history to educate her.
The girls visit Luke, who is in a coma, and he communicates telepathically through Nan. His mother thinks this is a miracle until Luke accuses her of murdering his father by filling his car with bees when she found out he was cheating on her. Luke’s mom kicks Nan out, then smothers Luke with a pillow.
Fiona discovers Kyle and speeds up the healing process for his memory and communication skills. She teaches him a card game and wants him to essentially be the guard dog for the house.
Hank visits his father, who runs a company of witch hunters. His father doesn’t think highly of his witch hunting skills and has entrusted someone else (Mike Colter) as his right hand man. They tell Hank he needs to get it together and kill those witches. Laveau shares the sentiment and uses voodoo magic to send Hank a threat that he better kill the witches tonight or she’ll kill him. Hank has fallen in love with Cordelia, though, so he turns on Laveau, shooting up her salon, massacring several of her witches, and shooting Queenie in the stomach. He’s about to shoot Laveau when Queenie grabs a pistol and uses her voodoo powers on him as she shoots herself in the mouth, killing him. Laveau goes to the school for help and Fiona lets her inside.
The Students
Queenie saved both LaLaurie and Laveau in this episode. I don’t think her stomach wound is fatal. I wonder what she’ll do with LaLaurie now that the salon is a wreck and Laveau isn’t supposed to know that LaLaurie is still alive.
The Staff
Cordelia can see now, but lost her super helpful new power. You win some, you lose some. I wonder how she’s going to feel when she finds out her marriage was a sham and her husband is dead. Then again, she was about to divorce him, so she might not be too upset.
Myrtle is fierce. It isn’t enough to just take revenge on the council. No, she also had to take out their eyes while they were still alive, then chop them up. Yikes.
Jessica Lange and Evan Peters are finally reunited. Kinda crazy that it took nine episodes for these two to be in a scene together this season.
Others
Go figure the holy roller is also a ruthless murderer. I can’t believe she even killed her son—she did love him even if she was totally misguided on how to parent.
I find it interesting that Hank only married Cordelia to get an in with the witches as a spy and witch hunter, but he actually ended up coming to care for her during their time together. I guess faking loving someone can rub off for real.
Conclusion
I liked this episode more than the recent ones leading up to it. Things are amping up now, too, with Laveau’s crew slaughtered and her turning to her sworn enemy.
