Star Wars Celebration Begins In Orlando

A long time ago in a galaxy far far away…

Star Wars Celebration Orlando is already off to a huge start. Thousands waited in line overnight, some lining up as early as 10am the day before, just to be able to be in the same room as this year’s first big surprise.
George Lucas returned to his creation to share with us 40 years of memories during the opening 40th Anniversary panel hosted by Warwick Davis. He was joined by the likes of Mark Hamill, Ian McDiarmid, Peter Mayhew, Antony Daniels, Hayden Christiansen and the panel’s other big surprise … Harrison Ford!

Each of the stars shared memories over the years and made the panel into a wonderful nostalgic act of the 40 years that has led up to this. It was cemented by Billy Lourde’s touching tribute to her late mother Carrie Fisher in a wonderful video tribute.

However there is only one way to really capture the emotion that is Star Wars, and they didn’t disappoint. The panel closed with an assortment of the best musical numbers of the saga conducted by none other than John Williams himself.

Star Wars Celebration has just begun and there is so much more to follow. Stay tuned for more as tomorrow kicks off with “The Last Jedi” panel and the expected debuting trailer.
