Recently, rumors have been surfacing about Nintendo ceasing it’s production of its current console, the Wii U. These reports came from a Japanese newspaper Nikkei that is usually quite accurate when reporting on Nintendo rumors.
That being said, this was one of those moments when rumors have proven to be false and a Nintendo spokesperson has come out to say that “This isn’t an announcement from our company.” and “From the next quarter and thereafter as well, production [of the Wii U] is scheduled to continue.” So there you have it folks! Feel free to purchase the Wii U without worry of it no longer being a supported system any time soon and keep an ear out for the latest confirmed news on the upcoming Nintendo NX system!
