The moment you have been waiting for has finally arrived! Gen 2 Pokemon have finally been added into Pokemon Go! Well …. at least the baby Pokemon have. These and several others will be added into the game later today so players can finally look forward to catching and hatching some of the Johto region Pokemon that were previously inaccessible! In addition to the addition of baby Pokemon, starting on later today through December 29th, trainers will be able to find a limited edition Pikachu wearing a festive hat! This Pikachu will be able to be found all over the world in all regions as well to celebrate the holiday season!You can find the official announcement from Niantic here.
