Without going into too much detail (you’ll get our analysis shortly), we finally get a new trailer for Star Trek Beyond meant to make it up to Trek fans. Check it out below:
The reason I say that? Notice the NX class ship toward the end of the trailer. That’s the same class as the hero ship from Star Trek Enterprise, the much maligned UPN series (the only series to be canceled since the original series). This seems to confirm what we heard from Simon Pegg that this movie delves deeper into the lore of Trek than we’ve seen in previous installments. However, I’m still waiting to see some recognizable aliens outside of Vulcans, Klingons, and Romulans.
